This 4 Days Desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga will take you through Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes and cultural sites. You will visit the old Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the breathtaking Dades Valley with its spectacular rock formations, and the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge. In Merzouga, you’ll ride camels over the golden dunes, see a magnificent desert sunset, you will spend the night luxury desert camp under stary sky. The voyage also includes stops in Ouarzazate, regarded as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and the picturesque Anti-Atlas Mountains before returning to Agadir. This experience provides an unparalleled combination of culture, nature, and desert magic!
You leave Agadir at 8:00 AM to begin your tour. We’ll go to Taroudant, a quaint city known as the “Little Marrakech” because of its historic fortifications and lively souks. Following a brief pause, we will go over the High Atlas Mountains, passing picturesque scenery and Berber communities.
Our next destination is Morocco’s most well-known Kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou, which is designated by UNESCO. It is well-known for its classic mud-brick building style and for having served as a set for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Before we continue our adventure, have lunch following a guided tour.
We pass via Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley in the afternoon, which is well-known for its yearly rose festival and customary rose-related goods. We then reach the breathtaking Dades Valley, where you’ll check in at your hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner.

After breakfast, we leave and pass the Dades Gorges, which are renowned for their striking rock formations. We then continue on to Todra Gorge, a canyon with cliffs rising 300 meters, where you may have a quick stroll by the river.
Before reaching Merzouga, the entrance to the Sahara, we then travel to Erfoud, which is well-known for its fossils and date markets. Your camel caravan will be waiting here to transport you into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for a breathtaking sunset ride.

Next, visit Rissani, the desert’s historic entryway, and tour its bustling local market, famous for spices, dates, and Berber crafts. After experiencing the rich culture, drive to Ouarzazate and pass through breathtaking desert scenery.
Stop for lunch on the drive to Ouarzazate, where you will arrive in the evening. Check into your lodging and unwind for the night, preparing for the next stage of your journey.

Following breakfast, we travel through Taznakht, a village known for its handwoven Berber carpets, on our way back to Agadir.

Yes, if you do not wish to do the camel ride, the camp provides an alternative option. There is a 4×4 transfer that takes you and your luggage in and out of the camp.
