Day 1Welcome to Morocco – Tangier to Chefchaouen

Your Moroccan adventure begins in Tangier, where we’ll meet you at the airport or port. After a warm welcome, we’ll set off towards the Rif Mountains, where the enchanting town of Chefchaouen awaits. Known as the “Blue Pearl of Morocco,” this picturesque town is famous for its blue-painted streets and relaxed atmosphere. Spend the afternoon wandering through its charming medina, discovering local artisan shops, and enjoying the stunning views from the Spanish Mosque. Overnight in a riad in Chefchaouen.

Day 2Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, we head towards Fes, but not before making a few unforgettable stops. First, we visit Volubilis, an ancient Roman city with impressive ruins that tell stories of Morocco’s rich history. Then, we continue to Meknes, a former imperial city known for its grand gates and historical sites. Explore Bab Mansour, the Royal Stables, and El Hedim Square before arriving in Fes, where you’ll settle into a cozy riad inside the medina.

Day 3Exploring the Wonders of Fes

Today, we dive into the heart of Morocco’s oldest imperial city with a guided walking tour. Fes is a sensory overload in the best way possible—narrow alleys filled with the scent of spices, the sound of craftsmen at work, and the sight of ancient mosques and madrasas. Highlights of the tour include:

  • The University of Al-Qarawiyyin – the world’s oldest existing university
  • The Chouara Tannery, where leather is dyed using centuries-old methods
  • The beautiful Bou Inania Madrasa
  • The lively souks, where you can watch artisans crafting traditional goods

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Fes.

Day 4 Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt

After breakfast, we leave Fes and begin our journey south. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-style architecture and cool climate. Next, we visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you can see playful Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. From there, we continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, arriving in Midelt, a peaceful town surrounded by dramatic landscapes. Overnight in Midelt.

Day 5Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Get ready for one of the most breathtaking days of the trip! We continue our drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, with its endless palm groves and lush oasis. As we approach Merzouga, the landscape transforms into the golden dunes of the Sahara Desert.

In the late afternoon, your camel trek begins—ride through the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes, just in time to witness a magical sunset over the desert. Arrive at your luxury desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Berber dinner under the stars, followed by live drumming around the campfire. Overnight in a private desert tent.

Day 6 :Exploring Merzouga – Nomadic Life & Desert Adventure

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a moment you’ll never forget. After breakfast, we set out to explore the desert region:

  • Visit Khamlia village to experience the soulful rhythms of Gnawa music
  • Meet nomadic families and learn about their way of life
  • Discover the fossil-rich lands of Erfoud
  • Option to go quad biking or sandboarding on the dunes

After a day of adventure, return to your riad in Merzouga for a relaxing evening.

Day 7 :Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Leaving the desert behind, we head towards the stunning Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs create one of the most impressive canyon landscapes in Morocco. After some time to explore, we continue through the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and ancient kasbahs. Our journey then takes us to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” where movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed. Overnight in a charming riad.

Day 8 :Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah and one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks. Take your time exploring this ancient fortress before we continue over the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, winding through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, where you’ll have the evening free to explore Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, filled with storytellers, musicians, and food stalls.

Day 9 :Discovering Marrakech

Enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cities. Highlights include:

  • The Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech
  • The Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture
  • The Saadian Tombs, dating back to the 16th century
  • The Majorelle Garden, a peaceful oasis created by French artist Jacques Majorelle

In the afternoon, explore the souks, where you can shop for handmade crafts, spices, and textiles. Overnight in Marrakech.

I just returned from an incredible 10-day Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech, and I can honestly say it was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken! From the moment we landed in Tangier, everything was well-organized, and our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl, was even more stunning in real life—wandering through its narrow, blue-painted streets was magical. Fes was a deep dive into Moroccan history and culture, with its lively souks, ancient tanneries, and impressive historical sites. The drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains was breathtaking, and our night in Midelt was a great way to break up the journey.

The highlight of the trip was definitely the Sahara Desert in Merzouga! Riding camels through the golden dunes at sunset, trying sandboarding, and spending the night in a desert camp under a sky full of stars was a truly unforgettable experience. The music, the hospitality, and the peacefulness of the desert made it extra special.

The adventure continued through the stunning Todra Gorge and the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, where we learned about its fascinating history. Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” was another fun stop before reaching vibrant Marrakech.

Marrakech was the perfect ending to this journey—exploring its bustling medina, historical palaces, and lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square was an experience in itself. The accommodations throughout the trip were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the transportation was smooth.

This 10-day Morocco tour was the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation. If you’re looking for a well-organized and immersive trip through Morocco, I highly recommend it! A journey I will never forget! 🇲🇦✨
