Next, we leave for Dades Valley. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Morocco. Located just a few hours drive from Ouarzazate, the valley is home to some of the country’s most stunning scenery.
On our way, we make stops at Skoura and Rose Valley before, finally, we arrive at Boumalne Dades.
Dinner and overnight stay here.
Day 2Boumalne Dades to Merzouga Desert
On the second day of your 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, you will explore the Dades Valley. The valley gets its name from the River Dades, which flows through it. The river has carved out a series of dramatic gorges and canyons, making for some truly breath-taking landscapes.
After breakfast, we will visit the Dades Gorges. It is a series of limestone gorges located in the High Atlas Mountains in central Morocco. The gorge is approximately 100 kilometres long and reaches depths of up to 1,000 meters. The Dades River runs through the gorge and has carved out a number of dramatic landscapes, including cliffs, waterfalls, and caves. The area is home to a variety of plants and animals, including the Barbary macaque, which is found only in the Atlas Mountains.
Leaving the Dades Valley, you will see a spectacular view of Old Berber Villages. We will have our lunch at Rissani, then continue towards Merzouga Desert.
Arriving at Merzouga, you will be welcomed by mint tea. You will experience the aesthetic sunset as you trek your camel that will take you deep in the desert. The aesthetic sunset in Merzouga is well-known among tourists. The sun sets behind the dunes and lights up the landscape in a beautiful way.
We will spend the night under a million stars. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3Merzouga Desert to Marrakech
The Merzouga Desert is a popular tourist destination for its sand dunes and desert landscapes. Its popularity is due to the success of some well-known Hollywood movies like the Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia. These films inspired travellers around the world to discover this epic place in Morocco.
