Your desert adventure begins with a morning pick-up in Errachidia. We’ll head south, traveling through the magnificent Ziz Valley, where you’ll be greeted by an impressive sight of a vast oasis of palm trees, offering fantastic photo opportunities.

We will pass through traditional Berber villages and eventually reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. From here, you will meet your camel caravan and embark on an unforgettable camel trek into the golden sands. The trek will take you to your traditional Berber desert camp, where you’ll witness a spectacular Sahara sunset over the dunes. After a delicious traditional dinner, you will gather around a campfire to enjoy Berber music and storytelling before spending the night in your comfortable desert tent, sleeping under a blanket of a million stars.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Exploration – Nomadic Life & Gnawa Music – Second Night in Desert Camp

After experiencing a magical Sahara sunrise and enjoying breakfast at the desert camp, today is dedicated to exploring the fascinating surroundings of Merzouga and delving deeper into the local culture. You’ll have the option to explore the area by 4×4, visiting a local nomadic family to learn about their traditional way of life and share a cup of mint tea.

Next, you’ll head to the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music, where you’ll enjoy a captivating live performance of this spiritual African music. Depending on the season, you might also visit the seasonal Merzouga Lake (Dayet Srij), a serene oasis that attracts various bird species, including flamingos. You’ll have lunch at a local restaurant. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to your desert camp for a second night under the stars, allowing for more time to relax, enjoy the tranquility of the desert, and perhaps try sandboarding on the dunes. Another delicious dinner and evening around the campfire await, deepening your tour experience.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After a final sunrise and breakfast at the camp, you’ll ride the camels back to Merzouga to meet your driver. We will begin our journey west, stopping in the traditional market town of Rissani before continuing to the magnificent Todra Gorges. Here, you can take a walk along the riverbed between towering canyon walls that reach up to 300 meters high. The journey continues to the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations and traditional Kasbahs. We will spend the night here in a local guesthouse or hotel, enjoying dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Today is the final leg of your tour, filled with incredible scenery. We will continue our drive through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the city of Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa.” We will then visit the most iconic of all Kasbahs, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a magnificent fortified village that has served as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood films. After exploring this historic site, we will begin our ascent into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters (7,415 ft).
