After that, we continued our journey toward the Merzouga Desert, arriving in the late evening. Here, you will go on a camel trek into the golden dunes, experiencing the magic of the Sahara. The nomads will greet you with a glass of traditional mint tea when you reach the camp. You will enjoy a tasty dinner by the campfire and traditional nomadic music and drumming under the starry desert sky as night falls.

Camels are the traditional means of transportation in the desert, and riding one is a truly unique experience. Your guide will help you mount the animal. Once you’re mounted, your guide will lead the way, and you’ll have the opportunity to take in the stunning desert scenery.
You will experience the aesthetic dunes of Erg Chebbi. It is one of Morocco’s two Saharan ergs – large seas of dunes formed by wind-blown sand. It is located in the province of Errachidia, within the region of Drâa-Tafilalet. The erg spans over an area of 22 km2.
The highest dune in Erg Chebbi reaches 150 m. The dunes constantly shift, moving about 10 meters every year.
We will spend the morning in Merzouga before we leave in the afternoon for Ouarzazate. The drive is direct, with some stops in the main destinations.

After having breakfast, we set out to explore Ouarzazate. This city is in the Atlas Mountains and is known for its beautiful buildings and rich culture. You will see many mosques and kasbahs as you explore. The city also has several museums and art galleries, making it a great place to learn about Moroccan history and culture.
After lunch, we visit Ait Benhaddou. This site is famous for its well-preserved buildings, which date back to the 11th century. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in.1987. Ait Benhaddou offers a look into Morocco’s history and culture. You can explore its many buildings, including the mosque, the kasbah (fortified home), and the granaries.
There are also traditional shops and restaurants within the site, allowing you to enjoy some of Morocco’s food and culture.
