Day 1Marrakech to Boumalne Dades

The driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech and your trip begins. We travel through the zig zag roads of Atlas Mountains to reach Kasbah Ait Benhaddou.

Ait Benhaddou is a Moroccan UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Souss-Massa-Drâa region. The site is known for its well-preserved architecture, which dates back to the 11th century. It has been used as a filming location for many movies and TV shows, including Game of Thrones, The Mummy, and Gladiator. This historic site is home to a number of well-preserved buildings, dating back to the 11th century.

After launch, we continue onwards to the next location, Ouarzazate. It is known as “the gateway to the desert” and is a popular base for excursions into the Sahara Desert.

Its a short stop here to explore several interesting attractions, including the kasbah of Taourirt, the Glaoui kasbah in the Tifoultoute area, and the cinema studios of Atlas Corporation. Ouarzazate is also home to the world’s largest solar power plant.

Moving onwards, we continue our journey to reach Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight stay there.

Day 2Boumalne Dades to Merzouga Desert

After our breakfast in the morning, we continue our 3 days tour from Marrakech to Fes.

We set out to explore Dades Gorges. Carved out by the Dades River, the gorge winds its way through the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The sheer cliffs and towering rock formations create a landscape that is both dramatic and beautiful. You can choose to hike or have a relaxing stroll here.

Next up, we drive along the road of 1001 Kasbashs to Tinghir. We then move onwards to Todra Gorges. It is known for its dramatic landscape and its numerous rock climbing routes. The walls of the gorge are made up of limestone and sandstone, which makes them ideal for climbing.

It is also home to a variety of wildlife, including Barbary macaques, Barbary apes, Algerian hedgehogs, and foxes. The area is also popular with birdwatchers, as it is home to a variety of birds, such as the common kestrel, the Eurasian jay, and the black-eared wheatear.

Leaving the Dades Valley, you will get to see the old Berber Villages. We stop for our lunch at Rissani, then continue onwards towards Merzouga Desert. Arriving there late in the evening, you will be welcomed by a cup of Mint Tea. Then, you will have a traditional Moroccan dinner under a Million stars around the campfire.

Dinner and overnight stay in a tent.

Day 3Merzouga Desert to Fes

The desert camp hosts will wake you up early in the morning if you wish to see the mesmerising sunrise. The sun slowly rises over the horizon, casting a pink and orange glow over the desert. The sand dunes seem to glow in the early morning light, and the silence is broken only by the sound of the wind. As the sun rises higher, the colours become more intense. Soon, the desert is transformed into a place of incredible beauty. For a few brief moments, it feels as though time has stopped.

After this beautiful sunrise, you will have your breakfast and you will be taken for a camel ride to witness the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. It is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. As you travel on the back of these gentle giants, you’ll be able to take in the stunning scenery of the desert, which is unlike anything else in the world. The experience is made even more special by the fact that you’ll be accompanied by a local guide who will share interesting stories and facts about the desert with you. Camel riding is a great way to explore the desert and get a taste of the nomadic lifestyle.

Now, we finally are on our way to Fes. You will get to see the Ziz .Valley The River winds its way through the Moroccan desert, and along its banks are an oasis lined with palm trees and fortified ksours (castles).

We make a stop at Midelt for lunch. As we make our way through the Middle Atlas Mountains, you will be treated to a stunning array of landscapes. First, there are the snow-capped peaks, their jagged summits piercing the sky. Then, there are the cedar forests, their evergreen needles providing a welcome relief from the scorching sun.

Finally, we arrive at Fes in the evening. The driver will drop you off at your hotel in Fes.
