Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley (Approx. 310 km / 193 miles)

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your camp, your adventure in the fascinating Merzouga region will begin by crossing the desert to visit a nomadic Berber family and get to know about their unique culture and traditional way of life, and why not share a cup of refreshing mint tea—you will be amazed by their simple yet authentic lifestyle.

After that, we will drive to the village of Khamlia, known for its soulful Gnawa music, to enjoy a live performance of this spiritual African rhythm. We may also visit the beautiful Merzouga Lake (Dayet Srij), a peaceful oasis that attracts many bird species, before heading to the old village of Mefis.

In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax, explore the desert around your camp, take a short camel ride, or even experience riding a quad bike over the dunes.
