Start in Casablanca, finish in Marrakech

A private 5-day imperial cities tour from Casablanca to Marrakech via Rabat, Meknes and Fes — all four imperial cities, with guided medina tours in Fes and Marrakech. No Sahara.
Our 5-Day Morocco Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech is a private cultural journey connecting some of Morocco's most important historic cities in a short and practical itinerary.
Starting in Casablanca, visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque before continuing to Rabat, Morocco's capital and one of its four imperial cities. The following day takes you through Meknes before reaching Fes, where you spend two nights and explore the historic medina with a local guide.
From Fes, travel to Marrakech, crossing changing landscapes between northern and central Morocco. Your final day is dedicated to discovering Marrakech's old medina, traditional souks, historic monuments and Jemaa el-Fna with a local guide.
This tour is a good choice for travellers who want to experience Morocco's history, architecture, medinas and imperial cities but don't have enough time to include the Sahara Desert.
Start in Casablanca, finish in Marrakech
Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca
Rabat — Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum & the Kasbah of the Udayas
Meknes & its imperial-city history
Two nights in Fes
Guided Fes medina tour & Chouara Tanneries
Your private 5-day Morocco tour begins with pickup from Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport, your hotel or another agreed location. Depending on your arrival time, begin with the Hassan II Mosque, one of Casablanca's most recognisable landmarks (an interior visit can be arranged according to the mosque's visiting schedule). Travel north to Rabat, the capital, to discover its main historical areas — depending on timing, the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah of the Udayas, whose narrow streets and views towards the Bou Regreg River and the Atlantic offer a very different atmosphere from modern Casablanca. Check into your accommodation and enjoy the evening at your own pace. Overnight: Rabat.
After breakfast, leave Rabat and travel east to Meknes, one of Morocco's four imperial cities, especially important during the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Explore the historic centre and see some of the city's monumental architecture, gates and old medina, with time to explore more depending on opening conditions before lunch. Continue to Fes, arriving in the afternoon to check into your traditional riad in or close to the old medina; the rest of the day is free to relax or take a short introductory walk before tomorrow's guided exploration. Overnight: Fes. Meals: breakfast.
After breakfast, meet your local guide and explore Fes el-Bali, the historic heart of one of Morocco's oldest imperial cities. Much of the medina is inaccessible to cars, so today is mainly on foot — narrow streets filled with traditional markets, workshops, bakeries and neighbourhood shops, with your guide explaining the history of Fes and helping you navigate the maze-like medina. Depending on opening conditions and interests, visits can include Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine, the area around Al Quaraouiyine and the Chouara Tanneries, seeing artisans working with leather, ceramics, metal, wood and textiles. Afterwards, enjoy free time to continue exploring or relax at your riad. Overnight: Fes. Meals: breakfast.
After breakfast, leave Fes and begin the journey to Marrakech — mainly a travel day connecting two of Morocco's most important imperial cities. The route crosses central Morocco, passing changing landscapes, agricultural areas and smaller towns, with stops for coffee, lunch and rest along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon or early evening depending on traffic, and check into your riad in or close to the historic medina. In the evening, take your first walk towards Jemaa el-Fna, where food stalls, musicians, shops and the surrounding souks create one of Marrakech's most active evening scenes. Overnight: Marrakech. Meals: breakfast.
After breakfast, meet your local guide and discover Marrakech, the final imperial city on your journey. Explore the historic medina on foot while learning about the city's history, architecture and traditions; depending on conditions and interests, the tour can include Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia area and other important historic locations. Continue through the traditional souks, where different sections specialise in leather, spices, carpets, lamps and metalwork, with your guide showing you details easily missed on your own. The visit normally finishes around Jemaa el-Fna; afterwards, we drop you at your Marrakech hotel or riad, or arrange an airport transfer according to your departure time. End of tour: Marrakech. Meals: breakfast.

During these peak periods, accommodation providers may raise their rates, which can affect the overall tour price. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred accommodation and the best available rates.
Your final tour price is confirmed based on your exact travel dates, number of travellers and accommodation category.
This itinerary includes Rabat, Meknes, Fes and Marrakech, each with a different character — from Rabat's relatively calm historic centre to the maze of Fes el-Bali and the busy souks of Marrakech.
The tour can begin from Casablanca Airport or your hotel, making it practical for travellers arriving on international flights, and it finishes in Marrakech rather than returning to the start.
Rather than treating Fes as a short stop, the itinerary includes two nights and a complete guided exploration of the old medina, with local guides included in both Fes and Marrakech, the two cities best understood on foot.
Five days is very short for combining Casablanca, Fes, the Sahara and Marrakech comfortably, so this itinerary concentrates on Morocco's historic cities instead of adding several extremely long desert driving days.
A traditional riad or comfortable hotel.
A traditional riad in or close to Fes el-Bali.
A traditional riad or comfortable hotel. Standard, comfort and luxury accommodation categories can be arranged according to your budget and preferences.
The vehicle is reserved exclusively for your party — there are no shared or mixed groups, and departure times can be adapted to you.
Fes to Marrakech is a longer transfer day; your driver will make appropriate rest and lunch stops along the journey.
Large sections of both historic medinas cannot be reached by vehicle, so comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
Entrance tickets for monuments, museums and attractions are not included unless specifically stated. If you arrive late on Day 1, the Casablanca sightseeing can be shortened, and because the tour is private, reasonable changes can be made according to your flights, accommodation preferences and interests.
